I purchased this app yesterday. I have been trying to teach myself how to play the keyboard. I have been trying to learn from books. Its very difficult for me because books often include songs that I have never heard of. As a result, I have a difficult time figuring out how the songs in the book are supposed to sound. In that respect, I am pleased to be able to have an app that could help me with my learning. With this app I have found that the best way for me to use it is to take a photo of the song in the book and import the song into the app as the directions state. If the song is relatively simple as far as notation is concerned, it works great. I have had to do a little makeup job on some of the songs though, because the app didnt quite read a couple of notes (which is not bad). I used the editing capabilities of the native photo app on my iPad to make the photo darker and that helped a lot. I have also found that sometimes the app recognizes a barline as notes, so that needs to be worked on. What I did to remedy that situation was to use another app to cover up the barline. For me, its not a big deal because it does the trick and I can still have a good idea of how the song should sound. All in all, I think this app is very unique just for its function alone, as I could not find any other apps that do all that this one does - especially for the price! I have high hopes for this app and I believe that it is going to serve me well. I am giving the app four stars for now. I hope the developer will continue to improve the app and I am looking forward to more updates. One more thing. I almost purchased an app like this one which was Free. However, I found out by reading the terms of service and privacy policy, that the free app was going to charge a fee for using it. That is another reason why I purchased this app instead of the free one and Im not sorry that I did. Thanks much.
